Welcome to the North Ormesby Minstrels
Treasure Island 1999

For those of you, brought up on the R.L. Stevenson famous story of piracy on the Seven Seas there are some similarities with the tale you are about to see tonight.

There is a crew of mutinours, bloodthirsty, cut-throat pirates, led by Lon JOhn, the most villainous of them all, and young Jim, the cabin boy, does set sail to seek hsi fortune, but in this version he takes his mother with him..... and his girlfriend, leading to misunderstanding aplenty. Stranger still, on reaching the Island they are confronted by coconut hurling Spaniards and a nutty tea-lady, before escaping the evil designs of Long John and his double crossing compatriots and returning for home.

And what of the treasure you ask? Ah well, me hearties, for news of that you'll have to wait awhile, for a strange tale awaits you, and you may lay to that!
