Welcome to the North Ormesby Minstrels

  Gypsy- 2003

Set in the 1920's, Gypsy tells the story of Mama Rose and her daughters, Loiuse and June. Rose is determined that her daughters will be stars in Vaudeville and will let nothing stand in her way. Herbie agrees to be their agent and eventually the troupe make it to New York. Life in the depression is hard and the troupe is living from hand to mouth. Finally a break comes and famous producer Mr Grantziger wants to make June an actress, but only on one condition that Rose keeps away from her. Rose can't agree but later June runs away and marries Tulsa, one of the boys in the troupe. Rose turns her attention to her talentless daughter Louise, and the story focuses on the struggle between mother and daughter. Eventually Louise finds stardom in her own way as Queen of Strip, Gypsy Rose Lee.

The show is full of wonderful music including "Let me entertain you", "All i need is the girl", "Everything's coming up roses" and "Together wherever we go"
