Bye Bye Birdie 1990

The Almaelou music company is in trouble. It's top act, Conrad Birdie has been drafted into the army. The owner of Almaelou, Albert Peterson and his secretary/girlfriend, Rosie Alvarez, hatch a plan that will not only save the company but also allow Albert to fullfill his ambition to become an English Teacher. However Albert's not so silent partner Mae, his mother, has other plans for her sons future and they don't include Rosie.
Almaelou with Conrad Birdie in toe decends upon Sweet Apple Ohio so that Conrad can give the fan club president, Kim Macafee, 'One Last Kiss' live on the Ed Sullivan show. As chaos erupts in sweet Apple, Albert hadn't reckoned with the jealousy of Kim's steady boyfriend, Hugo, or with the jealousy in his own relationship created by Mae as she tries to thwart Rosie's plans. However as they search their true feelings reconciliation is just around the corner as they bid farewell to Conrad when he joins the army.
